Description	:	Albert L. Terry, 86, Russell, formerly of Waldo, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Russell Regional Hospital. He was born June 5, 1919, near Waldo to Lester Uriah and Anna Marie (Bodmer) Terry. He grew up in the Waldo area and attended Waldo schools. Terry, 86, Russell, formerly of Waldo, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Russell Regional Hospital. He was born June 5, 1919, near Waldo to Lester Uriah and Anna Marie (Bodmer) Terry. He grew up in the Waldo area and attended Waldo schools. After receiving his education, he worked on neighboring farms in the area. In Aug. 1941, he entered the U.S. Army and served during WWII until his discharge in Dec. 1945. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Mildred Catherine Hall on Oct. 19, 1945, in Baltimore. After their marriage and his discharge from the military, they settled on a farm near Waldo. Three years later, they purchased the Bodmer Ranch near Waldo where he farmed and raised livestock. He was a farmer-stockman and was a blade operator for Paradise Township. He retired in 2002. They later reetired from the farm and moved into Waldo before moving to Russell in 2002. He was instrumental in helping establish the Waldo Senior Center, Waldo and he served on the Waldo City Council for several years. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Luray. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a brother, Earle Terry, rural Waldo; and a sister, Frances Matheson, Russell. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Waldo United Methodist Church in Waldo; burial in the Grand Center Cemetery near Waldo. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, Russell. Memorials are suggested to the Waldo United Methodist Church or the Waldo Senior Center and in care of the mortuary. The Hays Daily News. Jun. 8, 2005
