Description	:	Albert Levi Stanley, 88, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Levi was born on July 13, 1931 at Smithers, WV, he was the son of the late Norville M. and Elizabeth Leota Craigo Stanley. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Margie Marie Haskett Stanley; daughter, Janet Lea Stanley; father, Norville Stanley; mother, Elizabeth Stanley Shorter; step-father, James I. Shorter; brother, James E. Stanley sisters: Junaita Woollard and Betty Smith. Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his; five sons: Alvin Stanley of San Jose, CA, Terry Stanley of Charlotte, NC, Dr. John (Julie) of Hingham, MA, Tom (Tammy) Stanley of Fayetteville, WV, and Raymond (Patty) Stanley of Fayetteville, WV; daughters: Vicki Greene of Fayetteville, WV, Karen (Raymond) Holland of Waynesboro, VA, and Lorraine (Louie) Colon of Fruita, CO; grandchildren, Matt (Karen) Greene, Justin Greene, Mary, Julie Ann, and John P. Stanley, Miranda Holland, Erik, Wade (Jen), Leilani, Eliana Colon, Connor and Andrew Stanley, Brieannah (Justin) Sapp, Kendal-Leah, and Kenason Stanley; great-grandchildren, Trent Greene, Ava and Ella Greene and Peyton Sapp. Several step-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends also survive. Levi and Margie were members of Fayetteville First Church of God, they were true Christians, and very active in the church and the community. He volunteered at Camp Kismet, Fayette County Volunteer, a member of the Over the Hill Gang at church, kept stats for FHS baseball team, and the list goes on and on. Also, he was chosen “Outstanding” Citizen of the Year for the town of Fayetteville. Levi loved spending time with his family and friends, working in the church, football, baseball, and hard work. He graduated from Fayetteville High School and worked in the coal mines at Central Appalachian, Ames Mining Co. and at Elkem Metals (Alloy Plant). After retiring from the coal mines he worked 10 years for Appalachian Heating at Bradley. Levi will be missed at his church and in the community. He loved helping people and people in need. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Fayetteville First Church of God, Fayetteville, with Pastor Danny Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
