Description	:	Former Campbell resident Albert G Lukow, 94, of Good Samaritan Village Goldbeck Towers in Hastings died Thursday, Dec 3, 1998 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Services are Monday at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Holstein with the Revs Gregory Brown and Donald Boeschen officiating. Burial will be in St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Holstein. Campbell Funeral Home of Campbell is in charge of arrangements. Mr Lukow was born Dec 13, 1903 to Frank and Amalia (Einspahr) Lukow in a sod house in Kearney County north of Campbell. He moved with his family to a farm south of Holstein in Adams county at age 4. In 1912 the family moved to Holstein. He attended school in Holstein. He worked on various farms until 1930 when his father became ill. He returned home to care for his father and was a part-time trouble shooter for Glenwood Telephone Co. On Jan 29, 1933, he married Mollie M Meyer. After his father's death in 1941 he became manager of Glenwood Telephone Co in Blue Hill. In 1960 he and his wife moved to Campbell where he serviced the Campbell and Upland exchanges. He retired in 1969. After his wife's death, July 18, 1993, he moved from Campbell to Good Samaritan Village Goldbeck Towers in Hastings. Survivors are on son, Vance of Granby, Mo; one sister, Laura Kimle of Hastings; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
