The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Spring Creek Lutheran Church in Hastings with the Rev. Daniel Faust officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery in the spring. Following his discharge he returned to Valley City and was employed as a hatchery assistant for the State Game and Fish Department. He retired in 1965. He had been a member of the American Legion and VFW. He leaves one brother, Edwin of Tacoma, Wash.; and four sisters, Bernice (Mrs. Leo) Naekel and Mrs. Elfie Lynch, both of Valley City; Amelia (Mrs. Ernie) Barr of Tacoma, Wash.; and Mrs. Clara Nyhous of Hill City, Minn.
