AL graduated from Lake City High School in 1934. On October 24, 1937, AL was married to THELMA BLAIR, at Yetter, Iowa. Al and Thelma resided at their home in Lake City, Iowa for over 70 years. AL served in the United States Army during WWII. AL was a Standard Oil Tank Wagon agent. Community service was always important to AL. AL was a 40 year member of the Lake City Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief for 20 years. AL was also a member of the Lake City Union Church, the Lake City School Board, the Lake City and Southern Cal Booster Club, the Lake City City Council, and the Lake City American Legion #31. ============== PEACE ==============
