He came to the United States at the age of 16 and was employed at Houghton Experimental farm, Buffalo. Later, he went to Louisiana. In April, 1892, he came to Marion where he had since resided. He was engaged in farming and stock buying. On Jan. 8, 1895, he was married to Luella White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George White. Five children were born to this union Randall, Mrs. Clyde Scott, Robert E., George W., and Edith E. Randall, a World war veteran died in 1921. His widow, two brothers, Percy and George, both of Marion, and one brother and one sister in England survive him. Mr. Hutton was interested in public affairs. Firm in his convictions, he was ever ready to express them. He will be remembered for his Red Cross work and liberality during the World war. He was an interested worker in the Inter-State Fair association and he served Marion two years as councilman. His work to cut down what he believed to be needless expense in county and city affairs won the admiration of those who worked with him. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Methodist church. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
