Theo Krumrey of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were his six grandsons, Keith Stingley, Neil Stingley, Kenneth Elwood, Richard Elwood, Marvin Elwood Jr. and Duane Dohmen. Albert Ray Elwood was born Nov. 17, 1880 in a sod house on a farm in Antelope County southwest of Creighton. He died Friday, March 18 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Nathan and Ellen Elwood. Mr. Elwood married Josephine Carlson on June 8, 1899. Three children were born to them. They lived on the farm where he was born until they retired and moved into Creighton, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Alma) Dohmen and Mrs. Delma (Doris) Stingley of Creighton; one son, Marvin Elwood of Plainview; six grandsons and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Delbert of Creighton and three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Young and Mrs. Neva Ledyard of Edmonds, Wash. and Mrs. Sylvia Dragoo of Oregon.
