Description	:	Albert Ross Zimmerman, 74, of 106 N. 6th St., Chambersburg, Pa., died Friday at 4:10 a.m. at the Chambersburg Hospital after an illness of five weeks. Born April 2, 1886, at Big Pool, Md., he was born the son of the late Franklin A. and Eliza (Repp) Zimmerman. He was a member of the First E. U. B. Church, Chambersburg; the Junior Fire Company, and had been employed by J. W. Myers Company for a period of 40 years, retiring in 1947. Read More	Albert Ross Zimmerman, 74, of 106 N. 6th St., Chambersburg, Pa., died Friday at 4:10 a.m. at the Chambersburg Hospital after an illness of five weeks. Born April 2, 1886, at Big Pool, Md., he was born the son of the late Franklin A. and Eliza (Repp) Zimmerman. He was a member of the First E. U. B. Church, Chambersburg; the Junior Fire Company, and had been employed by J. W. Myers Company for a period of 40 years, retiring in 1947. He served one term as a county commissioner in Franklin County, from 1947 to 1951, and was a former member and president of the Chambersburg Town Council for 12 years. He also served as fire marshall of Chambersburg. Surviving are his wife, Edith (Tice) Zimmerman; daughters, Mrs. Vera T. Lake, Drexel Hill, Pa., and Mrs. Peggy M. Sites, Silver Springs, Md.; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mrs. M. Delilah Spriggs, Ridgeley, W.Va., Mrs. E. Blanche Grimm, Mrs. Glennie A. Brewer, W. Frank Zimmerman and Mrs. Dolly Shank, all of Hagerstown; Irvin Zimmerman of Cumberland; Bernard C. Zimmerman, Big Pool. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Dr. J. Stewart Glen officiating. Burial will be made in the Shanktown Cemetery, near Big Pool, Md. the body may be viewed at the Sellers Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and at the Shanktown E.U.B. Church from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. *Albert had 6 sisters and 5 brothers.
