Description	:	Albert Roth, son of Gottlieb and Katherine Roth, was born on March 24, 1907, in Worms, Beresen District, South Russia, which is now part of Ukraine, just north of the city of Odessa on the Black Sea. His family were Germans from Russia but spoke mostly Russian. His family emigrated to the United States when Albert was a young child, and they settled in North Dakota. Albert and Tillie had four children born in North Dakota: Arlene, born in 1932; Orville, born in 1934; Wallace, born in 1937; and Roger, born about 1940. Albert died in Bentley, North Dakota, at a young age on January 05, 1944, and is buried in Hope Congregational Cemetery in Elgin. After his death, Tillie took the children and moved to Salem, Oregon.
