The Springfield State Patrol reported that Kohout was driving east on rout 41 in Clark county, about 10 miles northwest of here, when his car went off the north side of the highway; hit a fence and spun around, throwing its driver into the path of a westbound truck. Harold Grayshell, 57, Springfield, driver of the Coy Distributing Co. truck, said that he had no opportunity to miss the victim. The body was taken to Mercy Hospital, but is to be removed later to a Defiance funeral home. Kohout, a son of Mrs. Valeria E. and the late Theodore W. Kohout, was graduated from Defiance High School in 1959. He has been employed as a salesman by the Eckert Packing Co. several years since June 22, 1963, and was transferred to Troy about a year and a half ago. Albert Theodore Kohout, was born in Defiance on June 8, 1941, a son of the late Theodore V. Kohout, and Valeria E. (Mekus) Kohout, 841 Jefferson Ave. Besides his mother, he leaves two brothers, James Kohout, 513 1/2 Holgate Ave., and John Robert Kohout, Cincinnati, and a sister, Miss Anne Kohout, a student at St. Francis College, Fort Wayne, IN. He was graduated from Defiance High School in 1959 and from the University of Notre Dame in 1963. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He had been a salesman for the Eckert Packing Co., since June 22, 1963, and was transferred to Troy about 18 months ago. Mr. Kohout also was in the U.S. Army Reserves at Dayton. The Rev. John Flynn, the pastor will officiate in St. Mary's Catholic Church here and the burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
