Description	:	Albert V. Jensen, son of John L. and Mary Jensen, was born at Persia, Harrison county, Iowa on August 18, 1900. The family moved to Shelby where he completed his education and began farming. He married Ruth E. Campbell of Harlan on December 16, 1927 and the couple farmed southeast of Harlan, where they lived for seven years. In 1934 they moved back to Shelby where they farmed until 1945. Jensen, son of John L. and Mary Jensen, was born at Persia, Harrison county, Iowa on August 18, 1900. The family moved to Shelby where he completed his education and began farming. He married Ruth E. Campbell of Harlan on December 16, 1927 and the couple farmed southeast of Harlan, where they lived for seven years. In 1934 they moved back to Shelby where they farmed until 1945. Mr Jensen became the Standard Oil agent in the Shelby territory, a business he maintained at the time of his death. He died February 1, 1954 after a month's illness, at the St. Joseph hospital in Omaha. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, one son, Eldon and two grandchildren, Susan and Ricky. Also three sisters, Mrs Walter Manz and Mrs Roy Kirkpatrick of Shelby and Mrs Pearl Andersen of Cheyenne, Wyoming, three brothers, John of Avoca, Roy of Denver, Colorado and William of Jackson, Wyoming. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 3, at the Methodist church at Shelby. The Rev. W.P. Gauer officiated and the Blust-Berthusen funeral home was in charge. Burial was in the Shelby cemetery. The Harlan News Advertiser Harlan, Iowa February 16, 1954
