Description	:	Albert W Goecke, 91, died Friday at the Marshall County Care Facility where he had been a patient since June. Services were held Tuesday at the Pursel-Davis Chapel, with the Rev Francis Ross in charge. Burial was at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr Goecke was born March 21, 1887 on a farm nine miles northwest of Marshalltown. He was the son of Henry and Minnie Thomas Goecke. He attended Central Iowa Business College in Marshalltown. He was a member of the Hartland Church, the Farm Bureau, and served many years on the school board. He managed local baseball teams and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by a son Elmer L Goecke, two daughters, Leona (Mrs Orley) Fiscus, Clinton, and Betty (Mrs Glenn) Knoll, Marshalltown, a brother, Frank of Marshalltown and two sister-in-laws, Minnie and Genevieve Goecke of Marshalltown, six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his wife, four brothers and two sisters.
