Arrangements were made by the Lewis Funeral Home here. Albin Karl Schneider, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schneider, was born February 28, 1858, at Hamburg, Germany. When he was 5 years old the family came to the United States and settled in Nemaha County, Nebraska. Mr. Schneider grew to manhood there and became a well known and successful stockman. On December 8, 1882 he was married there to Kate Rademacher, who preceded her husband in death on May 28, 1941. They had 10 children, six sons and four daughters. One son, Amos, and a daughter, Etta, Mrs. Ole Christensen, are deceased. In 1918 Mr. and Mrs. Schneider came to Holyoke, where they bought land and town property. Mrs. Schneider dealt in real estate to a considerable extent for a time. At the time of his death he was making his home with a son, Frank, and family. Surviving are five sons, Herman Schneider, Johnson, Nebraska; Louis and William Schneider, Holyoke, and Harry Schneider, Long Beach, California; three daughters, Dee, Mrs. Thomas Pohlman, Beatrice, Nebraska; Cora, Mrs. Everett Andrews, Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Hadie Voorhies, Venango, Nebraska, and 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Those from a distance who came for the funeral are: Herman Schneider, Mrs. Pohlman and Mrs. Andrews, already mentioned; Harm, Thomas, Martin and Roy Rademacher and Mrs. Leo Glahn, all of Johnson, Nebraska, and Mrs. Ray Appley, Clay Center, Nebraska.
