Albin Brzobohaty, bachelor, living alone at his home three-quarters of a mile north of Loma, was found dead in his bed Friday morning, July 22. He had passed away in his sleep. He had helped in threshing on Thursday and had appeared in his usual robust health. Death was from heart disease, it is thought. Mr. Brzobohaty was in his 29th year. He was born on the farm near Loma February 28, 1899. He was a member of the St. Luke's Catholic church at Loma and of the Catholic Workmen, a life insurance society. He also had life insurance in the New York Life Insurance Co. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Brzobohaty, were early-day settlers near Loma, settling there some 42 years ago. His mother died in October, 1900, and his father died December 4, 1918. He is survived by his step-mother, Mrs. Josephine Brzobohaty, of Loma, and eight brothers and two sisters. They are Frank Brzobohaty of Malabar, Florida, John Brzobohaty, living eight miles south of Loma, in Seward county, Anton Brzobohaty of Loma, Charles Brzobohaty of Seward county, James Brzobohaty of Loma, Joseph Brzobohaty of Seward county, Mrs. Anna Krejci, wife of Joseph Krejci, of Ravenna, Mrs. Mary Jisa, wife of John Jisa, of Dwight, Christina Brzobohaty and Edward Brzobohaty of Loma. Funeral services for Mr. Brzobohaty were held in St. Luke's Catholic church, Loma, on Sunday, July 24, at 10 a.m., and were conducted by Rev. Father Pazourek. The singing was by St. Luke's choir. The pallbearers were John, Anton, Charles, James and Joseph Brzobohaty and John Jisa, brothers and brother-in-law of Albin Brzobohaty. Burial was in St. Luke's cemetery. Sedlak's Band of Brainard gave funeral music at the house and at the cemetery an escorted the body from the house to the church and from the church to the cemetery. In attendance at the funeral from elsewhere were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Krejci, from Ravenna. ___ Card of Thanks – To the good friends who gave help and sympathy at the time of the death and funeral of our dear son and brother, Albin Brzobohaty, and for the beautiful floral offerings in tribute to his memory we tender our heartfelt thanks.
