Aldron and Beverly Koppold Shanahan were married November 30, 1970. Beverly was born February 22, 1932. She is the daughter of Otto, born May 31, 1901, and Susan Pauley Koppold, born June 4, 1903. Beverly has one sister, Joyce Goetz, and one son, Scott Shanahan, born December 14, 1962. He is the son of Joe Shanahan, who died of Hodgkin's disease in July, 1962, before Scott was born. Bev and Joe Shanahan were married at Sioux City in June, 1961. Al and Beverly both graduated from St. Paul's High School in Defiance. Beverly also attended Beauty School in Des Moines. Al was a farmer and real estate salesman, now retired. Beverly has been a tavern and restaurant operator and a beautician.
