Description	:	"Alex R. Schultz, about 50, died Friday afternoon at his home 1320 Benjamin avenue, after an illness of nine months. Mr. Schultz owned a soft drink parlor on Norfolk avenue for a number of years, giving up his business because of ill health. He is survived by his wife and two children, Edna and Leo both at home. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock in St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Rev. John Witt in charge. Burial will be made in Stanton." Schultz was born Dec. 14, 1885 at West Prussia, Germany. He came with his family to the United States when he was six years old where they settled on a farm near Winside. The first of the year he submitted to a major surgery from which he never fully recovered. He was survived by his mother Mrs. Gustav Schultz at Stanton, 2 brothers: Rudolph, William both at Norfolk; 4 sisters: Mrs. William Stark at Stanton, Mr. John J. Nelson, Mrs. Ed Glaser, Mrs. Arthur Dubbell* all at Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his father about 7 years ago, 1 sister Mrs. Albert Eckert died in 1928. *note the spelling of last name should be Dubbel.
