He was born Oct. 6, 1914 in Topeka, the son of John and Rose Desch Lambrecht. He was a sheetmetal worker and pipefitter at the Santa Fe Railway shops where he worked 35 1/2 years befofe he retired Aug. 15, 1976. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army from 1943 to 1945. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 2608. He was married to Barbara Gartner April 30, 1941 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Fred Lambrecht and Rob Lambrecht, both in Topeka; two daughters, Barbara Rice and Judy Grace, both in Topeka; three brothers, John Lambrecht, Paul Lambrecht and Edward Lambrecht, all in Topeka; two sisters, Anna Marie Herrman and Catherine Taylor, both in Topeka; and 10 grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Lambrecht will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary at 6:15 p.m. will be followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 227 Van Buren.
