Description	:	Alexander Morrison Sr. died at the home of his son Alexander Morrison, Jr. on Tuesday, March 21, 1905, aged eighty-four years. Mr. Morrison had been in poor health ever since last November. about sixteen months prior to his death mr. Morrison suffered a paralytic stroke. Alexander Morrison was born at Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on March 21, 1825. He received his early education there and later learned the blacksmith trade, at which occupation he worked for many years. He was also a farmer. He was united in marriage on April 1851, with Miss Catherine Ross, who surivies. Ten children were born to them six of whom survivie. They are Mrs. W. F. Geotcnell, Swanscott, Mass.; Mrs. A. R. Thompson, Dorchester, Mass.; Miss H. B. Morrison, Boston, Mass.; Robert Morrison, Cape brston, Nova Scotia; Rhoderick, who is in the Klondike, and Alexander Morrison, of Crathorne. The funeral was held at the Plymouth Presbyterian church on Thursday afternoon, Rev. J. P. Linn, of Ireton, officiating. Mr. Morrison lived all his life at Cape breton until last October, when he and his aged wife came to Iowa to spend their declining days with their son. Mr. Morrison was held in the highest esteem by the people among whom he had lived so long and had made a number of friends in his new home during the short time he had lived here.
