Mr. Good was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He worked for Avisco for 38 years and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Read More	Alfred Edward Good, 91, of Luray, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was born on Feb. 11, 1924, in Stanley and was a son of the late Alfred Lloyd Good and Thelma Mauck Good. Mr. Good was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He worked for Avisco for 38 years and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. On Feb. 19, 1943, he married Mary Jane Price Good, who died on Aug. 20, 2012. He is survived by a son, Ronald W. Good of Luray; three daughters, Sandra Jane Dickinson, Sharon Ponn and Patricia Strickler, all of Luray; two sisters, Evelyn Martin of Stanley, and Lillian Beatty of Luray; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine Cliford, Frances Perkins and Patsy Sours. A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, May 3, at the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery by Alexander C. Zuber, with military honors by the VFW Comer-Jones Post 612. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad or to Grace Lutheran Church.
