Description	:	SANDERS - Alfred Forshay, age 92, a life-long resident of Oakland, NJ. Born in Campgaw, NJ (now Franklin Lakes), passed away on July 12, 2009. He was the son of Alfred and May (Forshay) Sanders. Al was a graduate of Butler High School and the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics in Newark, NJ. He worked for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, CA, before going to work for Wright Aeronautical Corp. in Paterson, NJ. Read More	SANDERS - Alfred Forshay, age 92, a life-long resident of Oakland, NJ. Born in Campgaw, NJ (now Franklin Lakes), passed away on July 12, 2009. He was the son of Alfred and May (Forshay) Sanders. Al was a graduate of Butler High School and the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics in Newark, NJ. He worked for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, CA, before going to work for Wright Aeronautical Corp. in Paterson, NJ. Al was drafted into the Air Force in February of 1943 and was stationed in Dayton, Ohio for three years. He was honorably discharged December 15, 1945 while attending Flight Engineering School at Maxwell AFB in Alabama. Upon returning home, he resumed his job at Wright Aeronautical and retired from G&G Florist Supply in January 1982. Al was an Exempt member of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department as well as a member of American Legion Post 369. Al was a "gentle " man as well as a gentleman who loved his family and his home very much. He was kind and hard working. Al is pre-deceased by his sister Hazel M. Sanders. He was the beloved husband of Doris E. Polla for 63 years; loving father of Barbara and her husband Stephen Kiellar and Carol Kwicien; cherished grandfather of Jennifer and her husband Matthew Pellegrini, David Kiellar, Jason and Jessica Kwicien and treasured great-grandfather of Nicholas Pellegrini.
