For many years Alfred was in the clothing business in Fallon, then Alfred and Minnie got into agriculture near St Clair Station, 4 miles east of Fallon. 1928 moved to Reno from a ranch in Fallon where he became active in mining and survey work having been associated with Clyde V. Taylor, local engineer, doing survey work for Reno and Washoe County. The family lived at 1136 Buena Vista Avenue in Reno. Reno Evening Gazette 17 Oct 1947 Manager Leaves "City Manager Emory C. Branch left for Sawtelle, Calif., late Wednesday to be with his father, Alfred F Branch, a longtime resident of Reno, who is seriously ill in Sawtelle." Nevada State Journal, Tuesday, 9 Dec 1947 "Branch, In Reno, December 7, 1947, Alfred F. Branch, husband of Mrs. Minnie Branch of Reno; father of Freda Lukke of Sparks, Alfred T. Branch and Emory C. Branch, both of Reno and Mrs. Adele D. King of Fallon. Member of Thomas A. Berry Camp Spanish American War Veterans. Native of Red Bluff, Calif." He was also survived by three sister, Mrs. George Davis of Auburn, Mrs. George LaForge of Sacramento and Lois Herbert of Sparks.
