Description	:	A.G. Robinson died at his home in Nelson last night at a quarter of nine o'clock. Mr. Robinson was one of Nelson's retired business men, being formerly engaged in the furniture and undertaking business. He was a Civil War veteran and was a resident of Nelson for more than a third of a century. He was a member of the Christian church and also of George H. Thomas Post G.A.R. Robinson of Tulsa, Okla., is expected here tomorrow. The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, June 30, 1921; pg. 1 ======= Alfred Gail Robinson was born December 7, 1838, at Etna, Licking county (sic), Ohio; died at his home in Nelson, Nebraska, June 29, 1921; age 82 years, 6 months, 22 days. He was the eldest son in a family of ten children. He was married in 1863 to Henrietta Hoig and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Clara H. Herbert of Lincoln. In 1874 Mr. Robinson was again married to Sarah E. McDonald and to them two children J.R. of Nelson and Mrs. Pearl Duncan of Roseland. He was converted in early manhood and joined the Baptist church and for many years he has been an honored member of the Nelson Church of Christ. During the Civil War he joined the Illinois Fusileers, but owing to a change in military plans his company was not called into actice (sic) service. Besides the wife and three children, he leaves seven grand children, two great grand children, two brothers, DrD. (sic) S.S. and Dr. C.O. of Tulsa, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sherman and Mrs. Harriett __________ (NOTE: no last name in newspaper) of Sharon Springs, Pa. The funeral was held from the Christian church (sic) Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. The services was conducted by the Rev. Shirley.
