Description	:	Alfred "Al" George Stahl, 84, of Kokomo, passed away at 8:00 AM Sunday May 5, 2013 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born September 7, 1928 in Kokomo, he is the son of the late Henry Thomas Stahl and Maude Leota (Gerhart) Stahl. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. On August 16, 1957 in Kokomo, he married Rita Jean (Conwell). She preceded him in death on March 20, 1996. In 1997 he married Carol Lou (Ammerman). She preceded him in death in 2009. Born September 7, 1928 in Kokomo, he is the son of the late Henry Thomas Stahl and Maude Leota (Gerhart) Stahl. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. On August 16, 1957 in Kokomo, he married Rita Jean (Conwell). She preceded him in death on March 20, 1996. In 1997 he married Carol Lou (Ammerman). She preceded him in death in 2009. He was employed with Chrysler Corporation for 31 years before retiring. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685. He loved music and ballroom dancing, collecting coins and model airplanes. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, and riding motorcycles. He loved to laugh. Survivors include a step-son Jim (Teresa) Wyant of Walton; step-daughter Karen Fisher of Kokomo; one sister Cecilia Marie Willis of Kokomo; one sister-in-law Mary Ann Stahl of Kokomo; six grandchildren Kristina (Sean) McNabb of Indianapolis, Jennifer Young of Galveston, Shawna (Chris) Byam of Kokomo, Brandon (Sarah) Fisher of Kokomo, Ronald (Erica) Fisher of Kokomo, Lyndsey Fisher of Kokomo; also several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 1st and 2nd wives; five brothers Martin Stahl, Richard Stahl, Houston Stahl, Henry Stahl Jr., and Ivan Stahl; also one sister Rosemary Roswog. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday May 9, 2013 in Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Brad Swain will officiate. Burial with military rites by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary.
