Dreiling was born March 29, 1915, in Victoria, Kan., to John F. & Margaret Dreiling. He was a wheat farmer in Hays, Kan., until the war. He served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Following the war, he moved to Fort Collins and worked in the family business, Dreiling Motors, as a mechanic and detailer. On July 8, 1955, he married Alice Rose Owenby in Fort Collins. She preceded him in death in September 1997. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He participated at VFW activities as well as other events around town. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Minick, of Fort Collins three grandchildren, Alisa Minick, of Fort Collins and Autum Minick and Damian Minick and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah Taylor and Damian Minick Jr., all of Palm Bay, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice his parents two sisters, Isabelle Weigel and Emeline Vonfeldt () and one brother, Albert Dreiling.
