Mr.Thompkins was born November 11, 1941 in Galivants Ferry, a son of the late Charlie D. Thompkins and the late Hattie Lawson Thompkins. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Thompkins. Mr.Thompkins was born November 11, 1941 in Galivants Ferry, a son of the late Charlie D. Thompkins and the late Hattie Lawson Thompkins. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Thompkins. Survivors include two daughters, Wendy T. McCracken and her husband, Charlie of Galivants Ferry and Barbara Stalvey and her husband, Bobby of Conway; five grandchildren, Alfred McCracken, Cody McCracken, Bobby Stalvey, II, Will Stalvey and David Stalvey; three great-grandchildren, Gabe McCracken, Hunter Stalvey, and Heath Stalvey; and one sister, Pearl Barrineau and her husband, Andrew of Georgetown. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Grace Baptist Temple in Aynor with the Rev. Tom Lovern officiating. Burial will follow in the Aynor Cemetery.
