Description	:	Alfred T. Hibberd was born on the Isle of Wight, England on November 11, 1879, the youngest son of James and Ellen (Thomas) Hibberd, of a family of 5 boys and 3 girls. Read More	Alfred T. Hibberd was born on the Isle of Wight, England on November 11, 1879, the youngest son of James and Ellen (Thomas) Hibberd, of a family of 5 boys and 3 girls. He came to America at the age of 14, settling near Gibbon where he lived until he reached the age of 86 years. He married to Sadie Griffin Nov. 3, 1904. He farmed in the Gibbon area until 1943 when he moved to Gibbon. He was an extensive land owner and sheep feeder. He served for many years on the rural Fire District of Gibbon, and was Buffalo County Supervisor for 19 years. His wife, Sadie, died in 1947. On March 31, 1949 he married Florence Biddle of London, England who survives him. He is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Bolin and Mrs. Alyce Keiper, both of Gibbon (Buffalo Co.), Nebraska. Mr. Hibberd died July 11, 1966, burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
