Description	:	Decatur County Journal December 24, 1914 Allie Peters, daughter of George and Martin(Martha ?) Smith was born in Mahaska County, Iowa on June 29, 1873 and died at her home in South Leon December 20, 1914. She was united in marriage to Russell Sherman Peters on November 29, 1893 and to this union were born 9 children: Delbert who died as an infant, Carl, Charles, Clifford, Lawrence, Harold,, Golda, Viola, and Maude. Read More	Decatur County Journal December 24, 1914 Allie Peters, daughter of George and Martin(Martha ?) Smith was born in Mahaska County, Iowa on June 29, 1873 and died at her home in South Leon December 20, 1914. She was united in marriage to Russell Sherman Peters on November 29, 1893 and to this union were born 9 children: Delbert who died as an infant, Carl, Charles, Clifford, Lawrence, Harold,, Golda, Viola, and Maude. Mrs. Peters accepted Christ as her Savior during a revival meeting held in the Bethel Church twelve years ago. She has done what she could to live her life for Christ and her family. The day before she was called to her Heavenly home she expressed her faith in Christ and said she wanted to pray. She leaves an aged father and mother and a sister and several half-brothers and sisters; also her husband and eight children to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the Bethel Church on December 21 at 12:30 P.M. She was laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery to await the resurrection day.
