Description	:	Alice E. Jessen, 83, of Kenmare, died Tuesday, January 2, 1990, at Trinity Medical Center of Minot. Her funeral was Saturday, January 6, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Kenmare. Burial followed in Lakeview Cemetery, also of Kenmare. Officiating for the service was Rev. Charles Taft. Organist was Joan Larson. Casketbearers included Ted Jessen, Darold Jessen, LuVerne Jessen, Bruce Jessen, Larry Jessen and Robert Jessen. She was raised in that area where she attended rural schools for her education. She was married to Martin L. Jessen at Kenmare on November 16, 1924, and they lived and farmed west of Kenmare until moving into Kenmare in 1942. He died in 1956 and she has lived in Kenmare since that time. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Eunice Circle. She was also active in Farmers Union activities in the Kenmare area. She is survived by her sons, Gordon and his wife Louise, of Hutchinson, MN., and Russell of Kenmare; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Victor of Kenmare, Elmer of Cheyenne, WY, Gilbert of Crosby, and Melvin of Minot; and a sister, Mabel Hansen of Wapato, WA. Besides her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and six sisters. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home of Kenmare handled the arrangements. From the Kenmare News.
