She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Daniel Honeycutt; her son, Wayne Daniel Honeycutt of Kernersville, NC; and her sister, Idalene Lowder Whitley of Albemarle. She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Blue Honeycutt Brannon and son-in-law, William Joseph Brannon of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Kenneth Daniel Honeycutt (Amy) of Faith, Amber Honeycutt Sweeney of Dobson, and Amanda Honeycutt Crumby of Kernersville; six great-grandchildren and two nieces and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Daniel Honeycutt; her son, Wayne Daniel Honeycutt of Kernersville, NC; and her sister, Idalene Lowder Whitley of Albemarle. She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Blue Honeycutt Brannon and son-in-law, William Joseph Brannon of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Kenneth Daniel Honeycutt (Amy) of Faith, Amber Honeycutt Sweeney of Dobson, and Amanda Honeycutt Crumby of Kernersville; six great-grandchildren and two nieces and two nephews. Blue Honeycutt was a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church for 81 years. She served as a Deacon. She taught the youth in the church for twenty years. She was a member of the Fairview Home Extension Club for fifty-four years where she enjoyed both learning new skills and teaching others. Mrs. Honeycutt was honored with Albemarle's Women of the Year Award in 1984 for her volunteer work in the community. The family will receive friends on April 2nd, from 1:00 to 1:45 in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church, 126 West North Street, Albemarle. The service, officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue, will follow in the sanctuary. Burial will be at Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family would like to express gratitude to Barbara Garrett, Billie Sherin, Dianne Crowley, Trudy Rummage, Kim Freeman, Priscilla Alford, and Community Home Care and Hospice of Troy for their special care of "Miss Blue". Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1578, Albemarle, NC or to Community Home Care and Hospice at 11024 Albemarle Rd, Ste 904, Troy, NC 27371. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is entrusted with arrangements.
