Description	:	Robert Hamilton was born in north Ireland in the county of Monaghan in the province of Ulster, January 7, 1845, and Died at Medicine Lodge, Kans. December 28, 1922. At the age of 19 he left his native land and crossed the Atlantic. He first landed in Canada, but almost immediately came in the United States and made his home in Boston, in east Brookline, a suburb of that city became home to him for almost 20 years. Read More	Robert Hamilton was born in north Ireland in the county of Monaghan in the province of Ulster, January 7, 1845, and Died at Medicine Lodge, Kans. December 28, 1922. At the age of 19 he left his native land and crossed the Atlantic. He first landed in Canada, but almost immediately came in the United States and made his home in Boston, in east Brookline, a suburb of that city became home to him for almost 20 years. On the 12th day of February 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Alice Bramhall, a member of a prominent family in that city. Rev. Charles Cullie pastor of the Beacon Hill church and brother-in-law of the bride, performed the ceremony. After marriage they came to Barber county and lived first on Elm Creek, and then on the farm northeast of town. Here Mrs. Hamilton preceded him in death, March 18, 1918. Since then he has lived his lonely life on the farm with his adopted son Fred Hamilton who alone of all relatives near and dear to him is left to mourn his departure. Only a few months ago he decided to come to town. It was only a short period that he was permitted to live here. on the 22nd day of December he fell asleep. In religion he was reared according to the first requirements of the Covenanter church. He was a member in the Bethany Sunday school of Boston. In 1882 when he left Bethany they gave him a beautiful bible as a token of appreciation.
