The funeral was in Trinity Lutheran Church of Binford Thursday, October 2, with burial in the Binford Cemetery. Alice Constant Holland was born near Cooperstown March 2, 1903, daughter of the late Knute and Serina Holland. She was married to Jesse Hutchinson September 1, 1923, and lived in Iowa, Washington and Oregon before moving back to Griggs County in 1966 to make her home with a brother, Alfred at Binford. Alice Constant Holland was born near Cooperstown March 2, 1903, daughter of the late Knute and Serina Holland. She was married to Jesse Hutchinson September 1, 1923, and lived in Iowa, Washington and Oregon before moving back to Griggs County in 1966 to make her home with a brother, Alfred at Binford. Mrs. Hutchinson had studied music and art. As a young woman she had studied voice under Mme. Schumann-Heink. She also taught violin and was a pianist. Later she took up painting and her works have been on exhibit in various galleries throughout the United States. She had been a member of a number of societies related to her art. Mrs. Hutchinson had presented a painting of R. C. Cooper to the Griggs County Historical Society's museum. On several occasions since returning to this area local residents had had the opportunity to see some of her paintings on exhibit at the local library. Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Walton, Springfield, Oregon; two brothers, Herman of Beaverton, Oregon, and Alfred; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Whittier and Mrs. Calmer (Esther) Jacox, both of Portland, Oregon; and four grandchildren.
