Description	:	Alice Brown Edwardson was born on July 11, 1895 in Iowa where she grew up on a farm. Both of her parents were Swedish immigrants. When she was 16 her parents moved to Shenandoah, Iowa and Alice found work. When she was 19 she met Paul Edwardson at a party and they were married on November 13, 1915. they had four children, Pauline, Stanley, Jean and Anne. Read More	Alice Brown Edwardson was born on July 11, 1895 in Iowa where she grew up on a farm. Both of her parents were Swedish immigrants. When she was 16 her parents moved to Shenandoah, Iowa and Alice found work. When she was 19 she met Paul Edwardson at a party and they were married on November 13, 1915. they had four children, Pauline, Stanley, Jean and Anne. Shortly after Pauline was born they moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Even with four kids to raise, she was a "working" mother. Paul was shot in 1934 and her contribution was even more important and she performed work at the hospital to help with the bills. During World War II she worked at the Martin Bomber Plant and later after Paul retired from the Omaha Street Railway in 1950, Paul and Alice moved to Oakland, California where they managed the 55th Avenue Motel. Paul was the manager and Alice was the Managers' Manager. They later moved to La Selva Beach, California and Alice made one final move to Watsonville, CA. At the time of her death Alice had a family of 4 children, 11 grandchildren , 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Alice and Paul had a great senses of humor. She lived a simple life, she was not highly educated, and she rarely, if ever, traveled except to see family. She was not a "joiner" and she had little, if any, social life or other contact beyond the family. While some might think of her as "antisocial", she was probably insecure in unfamiliar surroundings. If there was one thing Alice did not enjoy, it was the feeling of insecurity. Their family saying was "Be careful on the bridge!" Part of a Eulogy by Ed Dennistan, her son-in-law.
