Description	:	Alice was born on August 12th, 1921 in Roundup, Montana where she spent a portion of her childhood. She was the daughter of Bert and Franc Schoonover Kiburz. Surrounded by her brothers and sisters, those early days in Montana were full of adventure. One continual memory is the numerous times spent lounging under the starlit skies in Big Sky Country--especially around the time of Alice's birthday when the Perseid Meteor Showers put on their yearly show! Read More	Alice was born on August 12th, 1921 in Roundup, Montana where she spent a portion of her childhood. She was the daughter of Bert and Franc Schoonover Kiburz. Surrounded by her brothers and sisters, those early days in Montana were full of adventure. One continual memory is the numerous times spent lounging under the starlit skies in Big Sky Country--especially around the time of Alice's birthday when the Perseid Meteor Showers put on their yearly show! The family enjoyed their adventures and pioneering times out west and that is where Alice's love of the great outdoors began. Wanting to be closer to relatives, her parents moved the family and relocated to Jones County Iowa. It was there that Alice met Robert L. Buol and they were married on February 18th,1939 in Dubuque, Iowa and had a daughter, Carol Anne Crane (Richard). They spent the majority of their married years in Cedar Rapids Iowa making many friends along the way. Alice had a love for life and was always on the go--whether at home in Iowa or Florida. She felt they had the best of both worlds--spring and summer in Iowa and fall and winter in Florida. She was the consummate homemaker and hostess, welcoming visitors in to her homes and treating them to her wonderful hospitality. Alice enjoyed traveling to both coasts to see family and friends, puttering in her gardens, walking the beach and looking for shells to add to her vast collection, painting seascapes/landscapes, reading, listening to Sinatra or Big Band music, cooking and exercising daily. She loved to help out and would volunteer at the drop of a hat to help someone in need. But most of all she was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her granddaughter, whom she helped raise. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Robert in 1999, her twin sister Anne, sisters Rosalind and Caroline and a brother, Avert.
