Alice was born May 6, 1921, south of Sewal, to William (Bill) Alexander Sharp and Clora Neva (Enright) Sharp. She attended various country schools in Wayne County until the 8th Grade. Her family spent a year in Idaho, where she met her future husband, Charles Albert Dresser. Read More	Alice Edna (Sharp) Dresser passed away June 11, 2013, at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa. Alice was born May 6, 1921, south of Sewal, to William (Bill) Alexander Sharp and Clora Neva (Enright) Sharp. She attended various country schools in Wayne County until the 8th Grade. Her family spent a year in Idaho, where she met her future husband, Charles Albert Dresser. After they returned to Iowa, Alice asked her brother Kermit if he thought it would be okay to write a letter to Albert Dresser. Kermit said he thought it would be okay so she did and he wrote back. Albert and Alice were married June 11, 1940, at the Christian Church Parsonage in Corydon, Iowa. To this union four children were born Charles William, Albert Ray, Delores Pearl and Delvin Dean. Alice spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, sewing and she loved family dinners and get togethers. She made the best homemade bread and noodles. She devoted her life to Christ and spent her life trying to do his will. She was proceeded in death by her parents Bill and Clora Sharp, infant son Albert Ray, husband Albert, daughter Delores, brother Keith, brother Kenneth and his wife Ethel. She is survived by son Charles and wife Johnita Dresser, son Delvin Dresser, brother Kermit and wife Sarah Sharp, brother Bill and wife Phyllis Sharp, grandchild Chuck and wife Tina Dresser, grandchild Dan Dresser, grandchild Cindy and husband Terry Foster. She has 9 great grandkids, 6 great great grand kids, and many other relatives and friends. Burial was in the Shriver Cemetary by Randolph Black Funeral home on June 14, 2013. Officiating the service was Dean Dykstra and Kyle Bredesky. Casket bearers were Kole Foster, Chris Dresser, Ross Merritt, Randy Sharp, Brian Sharp and Kenny Sharp. Memorials may be directed to the Le Compte Memorial Library in Corydon, Iowa.
