Description	:	Alice Elna (Gustafson) Bentley Alice passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior at her home in Dieringer, February 20th, 2009. She was a beloved Mother, a very loving grandmother, amazing great grandmother and a caring great, great grandmother. Read More	Alice Elna (Gustafson) Bentley Alice passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior at her home in Dieringer, February 20th, 2009. She was a beloved Mother, a very loving grandmother, amazing great grandmother and a caring great, great grandmother. She was born September 10, 1915 to Adolph and Blanche Gustafson, at their family homestead, near Mound City, South Dakota. She married Willis Bentley, September 25, 1935 in South Dakota. They moved to Washington in 1938 and were the proud parents of six children, Beverly Bentley, Yvonne Richardson, Will (Nancy) Bentley, Judy White, W. Larry Bentley and Alice Kay Bentley. Preceding her in death were her husband Willis Bentley on February 8, 1990 and daughter Beverly Jean in June 1936. Alice is survived by five of her children, nine grandchildren, Lisa Richardson, Eric (Jane) Richardson, Kristen (Shane) Roberson, Jill (Trevor) Denham, Jon (Kim) White, Peter White, Greg Bentley, Kim Bentley and Scott (Christine) Alverson, twenty great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren, also two sisters, Helen Dokken of Minnesota and Edna Brings of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice loved flowers, she worked for several years at the Orton Bulb and flower farm. She enjoyed music and reading. She was an exceptional seamstress, and enjoyed making wedding dresses and other special attire for family and friends. She spent many hours working with the youth in the church and they opened their home for youth activities and meetings. She excelled at memorizing scripture verses and encouraged other to do the same. She served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in the Women's Missionary Fellowship program. A memorial service at the Valley Bible Church on Stewart Road in Dieringer will follow a 10:00 am graveside service at the Sumner Cemetery.
