Description	:	Alice Evelyn Williamson, 94, Yuma, formerly of De Smet, SD, died Feb 19, 2011, at a Yuma care center. Graveside services were held at the De Smet Cemetery. She was born on May 10, 1916 on the family farm near De Smet to William and Mary Hauck. She was the 15th of 17 children and the last surviving member of the William and Mary Hauck family. She graduated from De Smet High School and began working at the Kingsbury County Court House. In 1935, she married Thomas J. Williamson in Long Beach, CA. They made their home in De Smet. She was born on May 10, 1916 on the family farm near De Smet to William and Mary Hauck. She was the 15th of 17 children and the last surviving member of the William and Mary Hauck family. She graduated from De Smet High School and began working at the Kingsbury County Court House. In 1935, she married Thomas J. Williamson in Long Beach, CA. They made their home in De Smet. She raised four children in De Smet and was active in the United Church of Christ, Eastern Star, PTA and many other school and community activities. She and Tom operated several De Smet businesses, including a Standard Oil service station, a motel, an automobile and implement dealership and an ice cream store. Following the sale of the De Smet businesses in 1968, they moved to Watertown and then to Rapid City, where they spent the summers in the Black Hills and winters in Scottsdale, AZ. She and Tom moved to Yuma in 1990 where her daughter, Pam Korf, resides. She was a lifelong sports fan and enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's athletic and school activities. She was a loving wife, good mother, a friend to many and a caring grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her three sons and daughter, Ron (Paula) Williamson of Sioux Falls, SD, Tom (Ginny) Williamson of Fountain Hills, AZ, Rick Williamson of Superior, CO, and Pamela (Ron) Korf of Yuma; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
