Description	:	Alice Faith was born the daughter of Walter and Rose (Chapman) Whitcher on August 25, 1923 at the family's home near Creighton, South Dakota, where she was raised and attended country school through the eighth grade. She married Williams A. Naescher in October 1949, and to this union a daughter Naomi Hope was born on December 8, 1953. William and Alice farmed and ranched ten miles north of Wall until William passed away in 1970. Alice continued to run things on her own until she was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2004. Read More	Alice Faith was born the daughter of Walter and Rose (Chapman) Whitcher on August 25, 1923 at the family's home near Creighton, South Dakota, where she was raised and attended country school through the eighth grade. She married Williams A. Naescher in October 1949, and to this union a daughter Naomi Hope was born on December 8, 1953. William and Alice farmed and ranched ten miles north of Wall until William passed away in 1970. Alice continued to run things on her own until she was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2004. She then sold her cattle and cut back on farming. She lived there until March 2010 when she moved to Wall. When not taking care of her Hereford cattle or farming Alice always enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Survivors include two grandchildren, Laura Potter and her husband Bruce of Brandon, South Dakota, and Jacob Frein (Melissa) of Rapid City; four great-grandchildren Eliza, Colt, Carsen and Wyatt; one brother Walter Whitcher, Jr. (Jenny) of Crawford, Nebraska; a sister Ruth Sharp of Rapid City; a son-in-law Lloyd Frein (Marianne) of Philip; five step-grandchildren, Tadd Moriarty of Chicago, IL, Vance Moriarty of Germany, Pat (Amanda) Moriarty of Rapid City, Mikal (Rian) Rasmussen of Des Moines, IA, and Ian Moriarty of Rapid City; one step-great-grandson Brodi Moriarty; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her husband William Naescher on December 25, 1970; her daughter Naomi Hope Frein on June 20, 1990; her brother James Whitcher; and her sister Hope Whitcher. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, at the United Methodist Church in Wall, with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating. Visitation will be one hour preceding the services at the church. Interment will be at the Wall Cemetery.
