She attended Valley City High School and later obtained her GED and went to school for a time in DeKalb, IL. Private family services will be held. Alice was born November 30, 1950, in Moorhead, MN. She attended Valley City High School and later obtained her GED and went to school for a time in DeKalb, IL. She had a long history of various types of work in various locations across the country, but mainly in North Dakota. Married twice prior, she ultimately married David Vick on July 5, 1975. They lived on a farm in Oriska, ND, with their growing family until 1979, when they moved to Valley City, ND. She enjoyed fishing every chance she got and often went to Lake Ashtabula for fun and sun. She loved playing the guitar, singing and music in general; she loved horses and horseback riding. She was a huge fan of Elvis and could always be seen with a Pepsi. She remained in Valley City, except for a short time living in Jamestown, until 1993, when she moved to Lincoln, ND, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She loved going to the races on Friday nights, watching wrestling, and playing video games. She ran an in-home daycare for a period of time until her health started failing. She continued gaming as she was able and had an absolute passion for movies. In recent years as her health rapidly declined she took up Facebook, especially the games, connecting with old family and friends and making new ones. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Roni) Vick, Fargo, Christopher Vick and Shawn Vick, both of Lincoln, ND; her daughter, Michelle (Brady) Oppegard, Mandan, ND; her sisters, Carol Jean Artis, Spokane, WA, Janet Arneson, Valley City, ND, and RoseAnn (Dave) (Eggermont) Vick, North Liberty, IA; her grandchildren, Tesla and Taleah Green, Jacelee Samuelson, Michaela Albrecht, Michael Vick Jr, Miraza Vick, RaeLynn, Joseph and Alyssa Oppegard; many nieces and nephews; and other family too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn (Magnusson) Zaun, Valley City, ND; her grandparents; her niece, Rachael (Arneson) Lockwood; and other special family members.
