ALICE GARVER EXPIRES SUDDENLY NEAR JEFFERSON Jefferson, May 12 – Mrs. Alice Krebs Garver died suddenly at 9:45 o'clock this evening at her home in North Codorus Township, near here. Death was caused by a heart attack. Deputy Coroner Zech will issue the death certificate Friday. Mrs. Garver, who was 65 years old, had attended the funeral services for Henry M. Grote, at Stone Church, this afternoon and later visited a daughter, Mrs. Curvin Shearer, this place. It was when she returned home this evening that she complained of feeling ill to her son, William H. Garver. He placed her in bed and summoned Dr. W. D. Danner, Spring Grove, but the woman died before his arrival. A daughter of the late Jesse and Annie Rohrbaugh Krebs, Mrs. Garver was a life-long resident of this vicinity. Surviving are nine children, William H. Garver, at home; Mrs. Harvey Shue, Spring Grove; Mrs. Robert Snyder, Spring Grove RD; Mrs. Charles Stauffer, John R. Garver, and Mrs. Curvin Shearer, this place; George E. Garver, Spring Grove; Mrs. Abraham Nace, Hanover Junction, and Jesse F. Garver, Glen Rock RD; seven grandchildren, and three brothers, John R. Krebs, Brodbecks RD; Jesse R. Krebs, this place, and William R. Krebs, Spring Grove. Mrs. Garver was a member of the local Lutheran church. The body was removed to the funeral home of G. W. Geiple and Son, Glen Rock, to be prepared for burial. Arrangements are incomplete.
