Description	:	Alice M. Ashpole, age 92, of Clinton, died Monday, December 14, 2009, at the Alverno Health Care Facility where she received excellent care for the past three years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18th, at the Community Congregational Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Wiesner, Ken Wiesner, Dale Schroeder, Matt Finn, William Wiesner and Brenden Schroeder. Honorary casket bearers... Read More	Alice M. Honorary casket bearers will be Lois Wiesner, Janice Bash, Gayle Uhl and David McDonnell. Alice was born in Clinton on October 2, 1917, the daughter of Frederick E. and Mary L. Wilden Ashpole. Alice graduated from Lyons High School in 1936. She was a floor supervisor at the Clinton Garment Company for 40 years. Alice was a member of Community Congregational United Church of Christ. Alice lived her life around her church, volunteering her time with the Rebecca and Martha circles. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed fishing, traveling sewing, cooking, baking, spending time in her flower garden and talking politics and current events. Alice loved her family history, never missing an Ashpole family reunion. She was an avid card player, belonging to seven card clubs at one time. Alice is survived by her nieces and nephew, Lois Wiesner of Clinton, Gayle (William) Uhl of Columbus, OH, Janice (John) Bash of Clinton and David McDonnell of Spring Hill, FL. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Memorials may be made to the Community Congregational Church.
