Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa with the family present this evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Stevenson was born on October 27, 1918 at Cherokee to Clarence and Louisa (Wegner) Perrin. She graduated from Cherokee High School. On August 29,1940 she married Kendall Stevenson at Cherokee. She had lived in Quimby for many years. She was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church and had also served as church custodian for 27 years. She was a member of the Priscilla Circle of the United Methodist Women, and was a charter member of the Entre Nous Club. She was active in 4-H and had received recognition for 25 years of service. She was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed gardening and sewing of all types, including sewing many bridal dresses over the years. Survivors include one son: Joel Stevenson and his wife Linda, Sioux City, Iowa; one daughter: Tammy and her husband Tom Flynn, Pocahontas, Iowa; four grandchildren: Christine Stevenson, Sioux City; Todd and Jenny Flynn, Des Moines, Iowa; Roxane and Ronald Callender, Sioux City; and Kelly and Dan Kreuger, Omaha, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren: Jordan and Trevor Callender; and Brandon Flynn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kendall on April 19, 1978; and one brother, Robert Perrin. Contributor: Moteland
