Description	:	Funeral service for Alice Askildson, 84, of Lake Mills was held Tuesday, Jan. 22,at Asbury United Methodist Church in Lake Mills. She died January 19, 2002, at the Lake Mills Care Center. The Rev. Gary Marzolf officiated. Burial was in Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lake Mills, with Mittelstadt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Alice Norma Askildson, the daughter of Gilbert and Tilde (Bergland) Quisling was born April 21, 1917, in rural Lake Mills. She attended rural school near her home and as a young girl worked on the family farm. For 21 years, she worked at Deluxe (now Fleetguard) and later at the T&W Gift Shop in Lake Mills for 15 years. She married Jack Lien in 1939. After his death she married Ernest Anderson and the couple moved to Portland, Ore. In 1959, she married Art Askildson. Askildson loved to bake and enjoyed having friends and family stop by for a visit. She was well-known as a donut lady and enjoyed making and giving them to all who enjoyed them. She was equally well-known for her gift of hospitality. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Jan) Doyle of Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Denny (Betty) Olson of Albert Lea. Minn.; grandchildren Jody (Jon), Amy, Andrew, Jeff (Renae), Dan (Sam) and Jeremy; great grandchildren Zachary and Alison; one brother, Obert Quisling and his wife. Stella, of Lake Mills sisters-in-law Mabel Quisling of Clear Lake, Mrs. Roy (Thelma) Isaacson of Albert Lea. Minn., and Mrs. Ray (Bev) Frost of Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law Marvin (Dorothy) of Rochester, Minn.; special God child. Debbie Bergland of Albert Lea, Minn.; along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews. relatives and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Art,and three brothers, Thomas, Clarence (and Cheryl) and Adler.∼Daughter of Gilbert and Tilda (Petra) Bergland Quisling.
