Marie was born May 10, 1914, in Dunlap, Iowa , to Ernest and Alice (Brennan) Canfield and graduated from high school in Dunlap. Marie and husband Phillip D. Forde, Sr. lived in the Logan, Iowa area for over 40 years. Phillip passed away in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her son, Dennis Forde; sisters Virginia Davis and Frances VanArsdot; and her parents. Marie is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Epperson (Gaylord) of Council Bluffs, Judith Miller (Michael) of Boulder, Colorado, Jean Rath of Aspen, Colorado, Elizabeth Forde of Council Bluffs; sons Phillip D. Forde, Jr (Candy), Michael Forde (Yvonne) all of Aspen, Robert Forde (Sherri) of Windsor, Calif., Richard Forde (Roxie) of Honey Creek, Iowa; daughter-in-law Susie Forde of Denver; 26 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Rosary recitation Friday 6:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:30 a.m. St. Anne's Catholic Church Logan, Iowa. Father Michael Berry Berner Celebrant. Interment St. Bridget's Cemetery, Magnolia, Iowa. Memorials to St. Albert Schools and St. Peters Church. Luncheon to follow at St. Ann's hall.
