ALICE PARK DEQUEEN, ARK., Feb. 19 -- Mrs. Alice Park, 76 years old, member of a pioneer family of Sevier county, passed away Tuesday morning at her home in Lockesburg, after a week's illness of influenza. Mrs. Park, daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. T.G.T. Steel, was born at Paraclifta June 3, 1855. On August 20, 1877, she was married at Lockesburg to William Columbus Park, who passed away in 1923. ALICE PARK DEQUEEN, ARK., Feb. 19 -- Mrs. Alice Park, 76 years old, member of a pioneer family of Sevier county, passed away Tuesday morning at her home in Lockesburg, after a week's illness of influenza. Mrs. Park, daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. T.G.T. Steel, was born at Paraclifta June 3, 1855. On August 20, 1877, she was married at Lockesburg to William Columbus Park, who passed away in 1923. Mrs. Park was the last surviving charter of the Lockesburg Methodist church. She was a consecrated, Christian woman, active in church work, and an unselfish servant of humanity. She had a whole circle of friends and acquaintances and was universally loved. She is survived by three sons, Dr. C.E. Park of DeWitt, T.W. Park of Fayetteville and Fay Park of DeQueen. Two brothers, Judge James S. Steel of DeQueen and Dr. E.R. Steel of Little Rock, and a sister, Mrs. Fannie E. Collins of DeQueen, also survive, as do three grandchildren, Eleanor, Thadine and Howard Park of Lockesburg. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Lockesburg Methodist church, being conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Earle Lewis, assisted by the Rev. R.H. Cannon of Fordyce. Many friends from a distance attended the services. Interment was in charge of Funeral Director Fred Wilkerson. Pall bearers were Rayman Wallis, A.B. Gilliam, R.W.
