Palmer, the daughter of Thomas W. and Martha Cavett was born at Saybrook, Illinois on April 10, 1880 and passed away at Bridgeport, Nebraska at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 20 days. Palmer, the daughter of Thomas W. and Martha Cavett was born at Saybrook, Illinois on April 10, 1880 and passed away at Bridgeport, Nebraska at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 20 days. As a young girl they moved to Phillips in February of 1883. In 1896 she moved to Joliet Illinois to live with an Aunt, Ms. Charles McManis and attended Joliet High School and then taught school. On June 22, 1905 she graduated from Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. She was then a nurse in Washington D.C. and Knoxville, Tennessee. She then moved to Aurora, Nebraska in 1910 and nursed in the community until she was married. She was united in marriage to M.L. Palmer in 1918. Alida resided in Lincoln, Nebraska until going to Bridgeport in March of 1979. While she was in Lincoln she was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church.
