Interment will be in the Stanton Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is in charge of the arrangements. Allan passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at CHI-Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE. Allan Dale Pestel was born on November 28, 1939 at Wayne, NE to Elmer and Ruby (Nelson) Pestel. He attended Stanton Co. District School #14 and graduated from Pilger High School in 1958. Allan received his Bachelor in Arts Degree in Education from Wayne State College and later completed his Master’s Degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Allan taught at Bennington and was later a Principal in Pender, Ainsworth and Plattsmouth, NE. He also had served in the Administration Department at Winnebago. Allan was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and gardening. Survivors include- 3 sons and their families- Jon Pestel and wife Dr. Jennifer Jenson of Glenwood, IA and children- Caitlin, Colton, Christian, Curtis, and Cora Jamey Pestel of Glenwood, IA and children- Jacob, Lucas, and Shelby Justin Pestel and fiancée Stephanie Gertsch of Glenwood, IA and family- Kylie, Reese, and Emily Allan was preceded in death by his parents."
