Description	:	Born in Iowa, A.B. was only three years old when his father died serving in the Civil War leaving himself and his sister Jane Lydia Comstock fatherless, and their mother, Little Narvesta Comstock nee Wheelis, a young widow. His mother remarried a few years later to Anderson Burchett and they added several more children to the family. When A.B. reached 18years, he married Sarah Ann Edgington Aug. 1888 in Woodland, CA. They resided in Audubon Co., IA He farmed there and they began a family, four of their children being born in that area. In the late 1890's they moved the family to Sargent Twp. Custer Co., NE. where they had several relatives living. They again moved, following relatives, to Woodland, CA just in time to experience the Great Quake of San Francisco. Only staying in that area one year, they returned to Nebraska, this time settling in Southwestern Nebraska, Morrill Co. Last Tuesday night a man secured a room at Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wegner's boarding house near the depot for the night. He was found yesterday morning dead in bed. His name is not known, and the only identification mark that could be found was a letter found in his pocket addressed to a party in Nebraska. L. B. Dunn, undertaker, tried to communicate with this party, but found that no such person lived there. The stranger appeared to be about fifty years old, stout, gray haired and smooth shaven. At present the remains are being held in the undertaking rooms at the furniture store. Kansas Historical Society Microfilm Roll O 117 The Onaga Herald October 15, 1925 Deceased Stranger Identified. Last Friday Mr. J. G. Comstock, of Broadwater, Neb., arrived in Onaga, and identified the stranger who died at the Frank Wegner home a few days previous, as his father, Allen Bush Comstock. The body was shipped to the old home at Bridgeport, Neb. The elder Mr. Comstock was sixty-five years of age. He leaves two sons and two daughters, all married, Having lost his wife about four years ago, he took to wandering around the country, refusing to let his children take care of him. He left home of his son, who came for him on September 20th."
