Description	:	Bud was born December 5, 1925 in Spragueville, Iowa the son of Edward and Gladys (McMahon) Reistroffer. He was a graduate of Preston High School. Following high school, Bud served in the U.S. Army during WWII, a Staff Sergeant in the 35th Infantry, as an antitank NCO 610. He saw active combat in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations and specifically the battle of Luzon. He was honorably discharged on November 20, 1946 as a highly decorated soldier. Read More	Bud was born December 5, 1925 in Spragueville, Iowa the son of Edward and Gladys (McMahon) Reistroffer. He was a graduate of Preston High School. Following high school, Bud served in the U.S. Army during WWII, a Staff Sergeant in the 35th Infantry, as an antitank NCO 610. Bud was united in marriage to Evelyn Medinger on February 22, 1949 in Springbrook, Iowa. Bud was a farmer most of his life and also worked for the Chicago Northwestern car shops in Clinton. He was a longtime member of the Church of the Visitation in Camanche. He was also a member of the Spragueville American Legion Post 590 and a member of the Camanche VFW 9664. During his free time he enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool and doing word searches. For Bud there was only one brand of tractor worth having, Allis Chalmers. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he will be sadly missed. Preceding Bud in death were his parents, one daughter - Joann, two brothers and three sisters.
