Born at Letts, Sept. 2, 1832; he was the son of John and Frances Shellabarger Eliason. Survivors are his widow, Winifred Eliason of West Liberty; one son, Allen Eliason, Jr. of St. Cloud, Minn.; one daughter, Mary Pat Eliason of Minneapolis, Minn, and two grandchildren. Allen Eliason, Sr. 74, of route West Liberty, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at the extended care unit of Mercy hospital, Iowa City following an extended illness. - Born Sept 2, at Letts, he was the son of John and Frances Shellabarger Eliason. Mr. Eliason married Grace B. Sheer; October, 1926 at Port land, Ore. She died in October of 1966. October 14, 1967 he married Winifred Henry Copeland. He was a member of the West Liberty Methodist church and the West Liberty Rotary club. Mr. Eliason was a retired farm - Survivors are his widow, Winifred Eliason of West Liberty; one son, Allen Eliason, Jr. of St. Cloud, Minn.; one daughter, Miss Mary Pat Eliason - of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the West Liberty Methodist church with Rev. Harland Gant in charge. Burial will be at the Letts. The body is at the Fairbanks funeral home, Muscatine where friends may call this evening and Sunday afternoon.
