Church at Elida A resident of Elida practically all of his life, Allen Friend, died at his home at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. Mr. Friend had been in poor health for the past three years suffering from paralysis which caused his death He was born in Hocking county and came to Elida with his parents when he was seven years of age, and lived in Elida and vicinity all of the balance of his life. The deceased man was sixty-nine years of age at the time of his death. Left to mourn his death are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Gerry Barnt, Mrs. Charles Huffer, of Lima and Mrs. Glen Sherry, of Elida; two sons, Daniel Friend of Lima, and Russel Friend of Elida; one sister, Mrs. Tillie Jones, of Lima and two brothers, Windle Friend of Lima and Louis Friend of Rimer. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 o'clock Friday morning at the United Brethren church at Elida, of which Mr. Friend was an active member. Rev. G. W. Lilly will be in charge of the services
